Finally, after an agonizing March full of rain and snow, spring is finally beginning to come out of its shell and reveal itself to Portland. Soon we will have the pleasure of listening to the birds sing, smelling fresh cut green grass, and viewing that big, blinding orange circle in the sky that is rumored to be this object called, the Sun. With the arrival of spring and “sun” comes the array of springtime activities such as; nice midday bicycle cruises through the city, Frisbee in the park, and an all time favorite for many, GOLF!
There are few other activities that allow you the relaxation and casual enjoyment of a beautiful spring day that golf does. Whether you you’re a “3 under par” type of golfer, an “I’ve hit the ball so many times I decided it was just better to stop counting,” type of golfer, or a casual “par 3 hole over a nice cold beer” type of golfer, one cannot deny their enjoyment of this game.
So what better way then to kick off your spring/summer season with a golf tournament? Portland Pedal Power presents to you the perfect way to kick off your spring/ summer season with some golf and goodwill at De Paul Treatment Center’s 9th Annual Charity Golf Tournament! Not only will you have the pleasure of enjoying a nice relaxing day of golf with a provided lunch, a sit-down dinner, and all the cool stuff you’ll get for entering, but all the proceeds from this event will benefit De Paul Youth and Family centers whose objective is “to help men, women, youth and families create freedom from addiction.”
“There are few other activities that allow you the relaxation and casual enjoyment of a beautiful spring day that golf does.”
