Pi Day? Why not Pi Week!

Optimized-PIEverybody loves Pi Day. Not only is it everyone’s favorite irrational number, but it’s a great excuse to enjoy some delicious pie.

This year, Portland Pedal Power and Pacific Pie Co. are teaming up to bring you not not just Pi Day, but Pi Week!

Rather than cram all that Pi goodness into a single day (or a single minute, if you’re going for “EXTREME PI DAY” at 3/14/15 9:26 AM) we’re extending the celebration to the entire week, with a special offer every day leading up to Pi Day.

Getting your orders in for the week leading up to Pi Day will get you something different each day. See what kind of extra baked goodness you can get, including:

Monday (3/9) – Ordering any pie from Pacific Pie Co. will get you free delivery, ensuring nothing gets between you and your Pie.

Tuesday (3/10) – Orders totaling more than $200 will receive a dozen free bite-sized sweet pies, so everyone around the office can get a taste of something sweet.

Wednesday (3/11)– orders totaling more than $200 will get a $10 gift card  to Pacific Pie, getting you some credit to celebrate Pi Day this Saturday.

Thursday (3/12) – Orders over $200 will receive a 2 free mini savories pies, giving you a chance to try the other side of the pie spectrum!

Friday (3/13) – Order a full sized pie, and Pacific Pie Co. will include a hand-made pastry in the the shape of the Pi Symbol on top of your pie.

So many choices, so many pies. Get your orders in for the office this coming week, so you can enjoy Pi Week to the fullest!

National Pie Day – Another Reason to Love Pie!

Apple-Slice-Website-1024x621Pie Day is a magical time of the year. It’s like a whole day was dedicated to bringing you back to your grandmothers house, when the egg timer dings and suddenly the kitchen is filled with the smell of browned crust and hot apple filling.

That’s right folks, National Pie Day is coming up! Unlike Pi Day, which has a mathematical undertone, Pie Day has no subtleties about it. January 23rd is all about the baked deliciousness you know and love, meaning you can enjoy these goods math free (which, if you had the math experience I had in high school, is a good thing)

This year, Pacific Pie Co. and Portland Pedal Power are teaming up to bring you free pie delivery on National Pie Day, Friday the 23rd. If you order a pie from Pacific Pie Co. to be delivered on the 23rd, Portland Pedal Power and Pacific Pie Co. will cover the cost of delivery, ensuring there are no barriers between you and your pie.

We also want to hear about your Pie Experiences! Have you had an especially delicious Pie from Pacific Pie Co? Have a saucy story about last year’s Pie Day? Or maybe you just have a picture of a delicious pie you just took out of the oven, and have been waiting for the perfect opportunity to share. This is your opportunity!

Posts Your Pie pictures and stories by Thursday, January 22rd and tag Portland Pedal Power and Pacific Pie Co. on FacebookTwitter, or Instagram, and our judges will award a lucky pie enthusiast a Free Pie in addition to their free delivery. Yes, you did read that right. Free Pie, Free delivery, all for showing us your enthusiasm for pie. What’s not to love?

PPP is Delivering For Patagonia!

Being a part of the west coast, especially the Pacific Northwest, requires a kind of zeal not found in the rest of the country. We are never out of sight of an evergreen. You can still find some wilderness outside the city limits. We can see the monolithic Cascades from our backyard. We not only live with rain for nine months of the year, we thrive in it!

As resilient as we are, sometimes we need help to keep us thriving in the moisture. Enter Patagonia, the perfect outfitter for our outdoor needs. Started in 1973, Patagonia offers apparel for whatever it is you may enjoy doing outside. Be it hiking, skiing, rock climbing, surfing, Patagonia can get you the gear you need to fully enjoy your day outdoors.

On top of that, Patagonia takes environmental activism to a whole new level. Patagonia is famous for starting several environmental movements, like 1% For The Planet, The World Trout Initiative, and The Footprint Chronicles. Every year, Patagonia donates either 1% of their total sales or 10% of their total profit, whichever is larger.

Just the kind of company we like here at Portland Pedal Power! We are happy to announce that we are now delivering for Patagonia starting this Wednesday, just in time for their Summer Sale, which offers discounts of up to 40% on in-store items!

Need those hiking boots you’ve had your eye on? How about that fleece jacket you’ve been thinking about? As long as Patagonia has your item in-stock, we can get it delivered within 4 hours of your order as long as you make the order within 10AM and 4PM, Monday through Friday. In addition, we are offering free same day deliveries on orders of $150 or more!

Faster than the USPS. Faster than those brown trucks you sometimes see scooting around the city. Portland Pedal Power will get you that great Patagonia product that you absolutely need in record time.

Enter Portland Pedal Power. Your new best friend in this time of trial.

Starting on Monday, September 9th, we’re removing the four-hour lead time from our dinner menus and making it so you can have a hot, fresh meal to your desk or dining room within one hour. Place your order one hour ahead of time, and you can silence your stomach with spaghetti & meatballs from Pastini Pastaria. Or a pie from Schmizza Pub & Grill. Or chicken pad thai from Thai Peacock.
