Work with PPP & Enjoy a Discount on 2014 Bridge Pedal!

Here at Portland Pedal Power, we’re proud to sponsor the best cycling events in town. That’s why we’re happy to announce that we’ve teamed up with Providence Bridge Pedal to offer our Corporate Account holders a discount on the upcoming ride across the Willamette River bridges!

Each year on the second Sunday in August, Bridge Pedal closes Portland’s Willamette River bridges to car traffic so they can be fully enjoyed by bike! From Sellwood to St. John’s, and even on the Fremont and Marquam highway bridges, it’s once-a-year opportunity to enjoy the views of Portland and the beautiful surrounding area without worrying about getting sideswiped by a minivan.

And this year, if you have a Corporate Account with PPP – or if you sign up for one before the event –  you’ll receive a promo code good for $10 off a regular adult ticket to ride any Bridge Pedal route. Our Corporate Accounts also include simplified, twice-monthly billing for food delivery, discounts on large orders and complimentary samples from some of the best restaurants and food carts in town. $10 off your Bridge Pedal registration is just icing on the cake!

When you register for Bridge Pedal, you can choose from from one of five different routes, ranging from the 3-mile Kid Pedal to the 36-mile Express. Here’s a quick look at the all of the routes. A Bridge Stride is also offered, just in case you prefer walking to cycling but you’re still hoping for a chance to catch a glimpse of Mt. Hood from the top of the Fremont Bridge.

Have some kiddos who want tag along? No problem! To encourage as many families and children as possible to bike the bridges, every Providence Bridge Pedal event except the Fremont Express is free for children 12 years old and younger.

Children riding in bike trailers do not need to register, but they must wear bicycle helmets. Even though most of the routes are free for children, they must register to participate.

To help assure all participants can safely complete their ride and enjoy this special opportunity without being too crowded, there are registration limits. When a each route reaches capacity, no additional registrations will be permitted.  Several routes reached capacity in 2013, with Bridge Pedal drawing more than 18,000 cyclists, so make sure you register sooner than later!
