Nong’s Khao Man Gai “Chops” The Competition!

image

It’s always exciting when you can tell your friends “You know that person you saw on TV last night? I know them! I get to see them in real life!” You can imagine our excitement when we found out one of the chefs behind a famous Portland food cart we deliver for made an appearance on the Food Network!

Nong Poonsukwattana of Nong’s Khao Man Gai brought her own zeal to the table on Food Networks TV show Chopped. On the show, four chefs are pitted against each other, given a box of mystery ingredients they must use in order to create a three course meal meant to wow the judges. Each contestant has seconds to plan, and then 30 minutes to create. One by one, after the appetizer, main course, and desert, contestants are “chopped” from the running until a clear winner is picked among the judges.

So how far does Nong get? Well, no spoilers here in case you missed the first airing, but needless to say, you wont want to miss the episode. You will have a whole new reason to go see what Nong is cooking up!

The original airing for the episode has already passed, but Food Network will be airing the episode for the coming week. Check out the full episode to see the outcome, and check out Nong’s Khao Man Gai on our menu when you start to feel hungry!
