Zach and Charlie on Mt Hood

Zach Rose, PPP’s lead Rider Operator and buddy, Charlie, rode their bikes from Sandy to Timberline Lodge a couple of weekends ago. It’s not clear whether this was a training ride for Zach’s bicycle delivery shift or vice versa. Either way, they did some great work completing the 72 mile round-trip in 4hrs 40min for an average speed of 15 1/2 MPH. That’s impressive considering the 6,000 foot vertical gain!

What goes up must come down and Zach reports clocking a top speed of 40 MPH. What a rush! His food delivery times are also impressive, if a bit slower in downtown Portland.

Thanks for the great photos guys.

Check out Zach’s bio on the “Who we are” page. Smart-delivery brethren Tobin and Parker are featured there too.
