Twilight Criterium

Gear up for high speed excitement!

Come watch the area’s fastest cyclists compete for the region’s biggest purse in the Portland Twilight Criterium, presented by Subaru, on Friday, August 12. The course surrounds the North Park Blocks of downtown Portland, creating an island oasis of 360-degree race viewing.

PPP is thrilled to partner with Good Sport Promotion to get the word out for yet another exciting bicycle event. Our delivery bikes have brandished some great looking Pedal Ads bearing news of the big event for the last couple of weeks. Did you see us at First Thursday? How about Saturday Market? PSU Farmers Market? PPP was there in friendly force.

There’s always fast-paced excitement for cyclists and spectators alike along the race’s highly technical course. You can get close enough to the action to feel the wind from racers rushing by as they complete each half-mile lap in just over one minute.

Subaru: an active sponsor

True Story about the power of promotion: A woman approached our team last week at the Portland Farmers Market (PSU) when she saw the Twilight Crit signs on our bikes. She said, “I love the Twilight Criterium. I saw it last year and there were so many crashes. I hope there are fewer this year. I bought a Subaru because of this event.”

The PPP team spoke with over 65 people (yes, we count ’em) while promoting the event at First Thursday last week. Many of these folks remembered the event last year and said, “Wow, is it next Friday?!”  Nearly 10 said they would be attending again this year. Everyone needs a reminder now and then. We’re happy to help.  🙂

Hope to see you at the race!  As always…please holler at us!
