Do you love dogs? Of course you do, because you live in Portland Oregon, one of the friendliest dog cities in the country. As a matter of fact, we’re so friendly we have K-9 cafe’s, bakeries, and even restaurants and pubs built around bringing your furry friend along for a nice sit down meal and perhaps a drink. (Hopefully for you and not the dog). One of these fantastic Portland pubs is the Lucky Labrador Brewery, where man, woman, and their best friends can enjoy a nice adult beverage together, without one of the three being tied to a post.
This weekend the Lucky Labrador Brewery is hosting the Tour de Lab, a 19 or 40 mile Portland bicycle tour of all 4 of the Lucky Lab brew pubs, in support of DoveLewis animal hospital. Festivities include (but not limited to) a pre-ride party Saturday (Sept. 8 ) from 2pm-4pm at the Lucky Lab off SE Hawthorne. Then Sunday fun day (Sept. 9) with so much room for activities including a costume contest, rest stops with food, and of course good brews as you visit each of the locations. Be aware though, make sure you go on the correct ride. There is the “Puppy Ride” which is a nice 19 mile ride visiting 3 of the Lucky Lab locations, and then there’s the “Big Dog” ride. The Big Dog ride covers 40 hilly miles and visits all 4 Lucky Lab locations. Regardless of the path you choose, there’s a nice hot dog and cold frothy brew awaiting you at the finish line.
