Looking to Revitalize Your Lunch? We Can Help.

There’s nothing like a good lunch break. Whether you get to sit in your favorite park, the office break room, or that quiet corner of the stairwell you discovered last week, it’s a chance to decompress from a long morning and enjoy some “you” time.

You get to focus on yourself for a while, treating yourself to some funny cat videos on Youtube, catch up on the latest news to pass through the office and, of course, enjoy that meal you’ve been looking forward to ever since you heard Pete in accounting talking about that Perfect Pizza he’s planning on having.

Portland Pedal Power knows the power a good lunch can have, turning even the most turgid mornings into a productive afternoon. We want to make sure your lunch is hitting its high marks, so we’ve got a great menu that will make your mouth water. Check out some of the lunches we can drop off at the office today, and help you enjoy your lunch hour to its fullest:

KOI Fusion serves an innovative & funky fusion of Mexican and Korean street snacks — served up with a twist. Enjoy your meal with Bulgolgi BBQ Beef, Kalbi Short Ribs, or if meat isn’t your style, Spicy Tofu and Kimchi!

Tangier is a warm and welcoming family restaurant conveniently located in downtown Portland, quite close to the waterfront. Tangier has a casually elegant atmosphere, catering to the exquisitely prepared cuisine that will enhance any dining or celebration experience. Check our our blog about Tangier for some more info.

The Dump Truck serves a menu that mixes the traditional with the funky to bring you Portland’s best dumplings. Reid and Julia, owners of The Dump Truck, wanted to bring to Portland the amazing flavors they had experienced at the hands of Mr Ma, a Beijing dumpling master.

Pastini Pastaria offers classic and contemporary Italian dishes, featuring fresh, local ingredients. Gluten Free (spaghetti or penne) and Whole Wheat (penne) pastas are available for most menu items. Check our blog for more details!

Whiffie’s Fried Pies has stormed across the Portland food cart scene introducing  scores of new people to their American style empinadas.  They’ve been featured on Food Network, Travel Channel, Rachel Ray Magazine, Sunset Magazine, and Cooking Light Magazine.

The Sustainable Pasta of Portland

Pastini & PPPPortland Pedal Power has had the opportunity to work with Pastini Pastaria, a delectably good Italian restaurant that has graced the Rose City for some time. We have really enjoyed working with Pastini, as we both share an appreciation for sustainability and unique ideas. We wanted to learn a little more about who they are, so we sat down with one of the founders, Susan, to find out what’s been going on over at the Pastaria.

Pastini’s story starts in 2001, when Portland wasn’t exactly the same kind of food scene as it is today. Susan noticed there was a lack of quality affordable food in the Portland area and wanted to remedy that, so Pastini Pastaria was born! Susan, her husband Craig, and business partner Kara Hale decided to open up their own italian restaurant on Broadway and, as they say, the rest is history.

Pastini Pastaria Partners with PPP!

Pastini PastariaPastini Pastaria, Portland’s Italian restaurants with a passion for pasta, have joined Portland Pedal Power’s list of eateries delivered by bike. Pastini’s name references the small, neighborhood bistros of Italy that serve a variety of pastas, and Pastini indeed offers a large selection of the noble noodle in authentic, made-from-scratch dishes.

Pastini started as a tiny restaurant in Irvington and has added locations downtown, on NW 23rd, and in SE Portland. But, while they’ve grown up over the last 11 years, they have stayed true to their roots by partnering with many locals farmers and suppliers like Pearl Bakery, Portland Roasting Coffee and Classic Foods, their supplier for artisan fresh pastas. And they’ve also stayed true to a philosophy of making all their own sauces, pestos, dressings and desserts, as well as making each dish to order. This means that every pasta, salad, sandwich and tiramisu is made from scratch with fresh, local ingredients and tastes like it!
